A bold step in the future of building design
By Tessa Prieto-Valdes
Philippine Daily Inquirer
8:25 pm | Friday, June 14th, 2013
It may seem that all the new property developments are happening in Bonifacio Global City. But let’s not forget that as of now, just like Wall Street in New York City, Ayala Avenue is still the prime address for top businesses.
The newest premium-grade office building on the street is Alphaland Tower, with a very memorable address, 6789 Ayala Avenue. The new Tower just opened its doors to the public last week. Right in the heart of the central business district, this building is now the only precertified, Grade-A tower of its kind on our main street.
Designed by internationally renowned, Hong Kong-based architects Wong & Ouyang, Alphaland Tower is an expression of Alphaland Corp.’s forward-thinking design sensibilities and a testament to its unique vision. The glass-cladded building is divided into three zones—a low zone starting from the fifth to 18th floor, a high zone continuing from the 19th to 31st floor and a three-story penthouse comprising the 32nd to 34th floors.

Alphaland firms up marina club project
By Miguel R. Camus
Philippine Daily Inquirer 9:26 pm | Sunday, June 9th, 2013
Alphaland Corp., a listed property developer led by former trade minister Roberto Ongpin, is firming up plans for its marina club rising in Manila Bay and is now in talks to acquire as many as 20 yachts to lease to its members.
The move, company president Mario Oreta said, would allow Alphaland Marina Club to tap a broader market while differentiating its project. He said Alphaland Marina would be the first yacht club in Asia to offer boats for lease.
...
Alphaland is testing the market for upscale leisure spending as Oreta believes the Philippines is ready for this.
...
Sales at the club have been well received. Oreta said they have sold about 300 Alphaland Marina shares, with the going rate now at P1.5 million from the P1-million debut price.
Alphaland Marina, which will open late next year, will encompass 10 hectares surrounded by a breakwater.

Ongpin’s Alphaland ventures into premium office segment
MANILA, Philippines - Ongpin-led property developer Alphaland Corp. is venturing into the premium office segment with the opening of its 34-story Alphaland Tower along Ayala Ave, estimated to generate sales proceeds worth P8 billion, a top company official said.
“The newest premium grade office building in the Makati central business district is also the only pre-certified Grade-A tower of its kind, it’s either for sale or lease. At the minimum, we’re selling or leasing one floor at a time,” said Alphaland president Mario Oreta.
He said ideal tenants for the premium office space are multinational and law firms as business process outsourcing (BPO) firms are more price-sensitive.
Alphaland Tower, which has a gross floor area of 48,000 square meters, is divided into three zones: the 14-story low zone, the 13-storey high zone and the three-story penthouse. It also has a five-level basement parking.

PH’s most expensive island property project developed by single firm
By Tessa Prieto-Valdes
Philippine Daily Inquirer
What’s new in paradise? The Alphaland Balesin Island Club has changed a lot since I was there last January. Although only four months have passed, it seems so much has happened.
Balesin must be the country’s most expensive island property project developed by a single company. I heard that almost P4 billion has been spent on the island, and it really shows. Everything is first class, from the authentic Spanish plates adorning the walls of the newly opened Costa del Sol village to the exact shade of cobalt blue that puts a Grecian ambience to the Mykonos village.
