para sa mga magsisimula pa lang sa stock trading ....

stok tots: this happens to me all the time ... (16 JUN 2017)

have you had the experience of selling a stock ... because it hits your stops ... then the day after it starts going up again and continues to rise up?

potek yan ang nangyari sa akin recently .. sa SSI at WLCON  ...

i bot SSI on 18 MAY 2017 .... 200k shares at 2.54 then sold it on 08 JUN 2017 at 2.96-2.97 kasi akala ko maghold yun resistance sa 3 pesos (theory of whole numbers)  ... then baka bumaba na .... pero kinabukasan umakyat ulit sa 3.16 ... and it is now doing 3.42 (this is written around 11.52 a.m)

sa WLCON naman ... i bot it on 01 JUN 2017 ... 50k shares at 5.92 then sold it on 14 JUN 2017 at 6.46-6.47 ... thinking that 6,50 will hold as resistance (again .. theory of whole numbers) and make WLCON fall bak ... potah .. kinabukasan tumaas pa ang loko to 6.69 ... and it is now doing 6.89 .. nag 6.99 pa kanina (mukhang dito nag apply yun theory of whole numbers) ...

shet talaga hahaha ... i know ... i know ... lagi ko sinasabi sa mga newbies na when u sell .. never look bak and manghinayang kung tamaas pa yun stock na binenta nyo ... well im just relating this kasi this happens to me all the time ...

stok tots: is the macd histogram always important for a short term trend follower? (11 JUN 2017)

the macd histogram is an important tool for a short term trend follower ... it is based on the position of the histogram whether i enter a stock i intend to buy ... but that is NOT the topic of this post ...

so .. while the macd histogram is important during entry ... are there other instances when the histogram is important? wala na!

once i have entered a stock ... the macd histogram is altogether forgotten ... it is no longer important ... it has no more role in my trading for a particular stock ...

once i have entered a stock position .. the only thing i am concerned about now is when do i sell ...

and i sell when my stops are hit ... there is no other indicator that i need when i already have a particular stock except my trailing stops ... when a trailing stop is hit .. i sell ... ganun lang ...

so .. to recapitulate:

on entry .. histogram is important ...

on exit ... trailing stop is important ...

thanks ...

MPI

in the news: MPI/METRO PACIFIC INVESTMENTS CORP.

http://1kagemusha.blogspot.com/2017/01/in-news-mpimetro-pacific.html

GTCAP
Toyota Motor Philippines Corp. remained the leader in terms of sales, accounting for a 43.67 percent market share as of end-May.
Sales of Toyota stood at 69,231 units during the five-month period, up 20 percent from 57,756 units last year.
EW
We are raising our net income forecast and FV estimate on EW following its better-thanexpected performance in the first quarter. Recall that the bank’s 1Q17 income jumped 54% y/y to Php1.2Bil, exceeding both COL and consensus estimates. The outperformance was driven by strong net interest and fee-based revenues as well as lower-than-expected provisioning. Overall, we are raising our net income forecasts by 4% in 2017 and by 14% in 2018. We are also upgrading our FV estimate on EW by 14% to Php31.80/sh, based on 1.25X 2017E P/BV.

stok tots: its the histogram that is important (07 JUN 2017)

question:

Sir Shoyu, I observed that MAXS MACD is rising along with the price in the past few days but MACD is still below 0.

Worth the shot to hold short to medium term?

my response:

the macd is still below 0 ... but the macd HISTOGRAM is already way above it ...

more than the macd .. im using primarily the histogram in my system

stocks move in cycles .. so i just use one cycle as my timeframe .. whether it is short or medium or long term .. it matters not to me .. (altho i hold in some cases some stocks for the long term .. but these are more exceptions to the rule)
