my brother just arrived from aklan ... where he is a pediatric pulmonologist ...

habang nagkkwentuhan over the dinner table ... may isa syang kwento tungkol sa isa nyang pasyente .. ilang araw pa lang yun baby ... binigay sa kanya ng ibang doktor kasi sya yun pedia-pulmo ... may neonatal pneumonia yun baby ...  nasa icu yun baby ... and he has given up on the case ... sinabihan na nya yun mga magulang na wala na syang magagawa ... naghihintay na lang ng end ng baby ...  pero lo and behold ... habang binisita nya yun baby one day ... humihinga na ng maayos yun baby ... when he has for all intents and purposes given up on the baby ... now nag breast feed na yun baby sa kanyang nanay ...

hindi pa time ng baby ... or in my brother's words ... "sabi ni jesus ... hindi pa nya oras ..."

my brother who is a pedia-pulmo (or pulmo-pedia) doctor had a sad incident to share with us over dinnertime ...

last week ... in the citymall in boracay ... a 2-year old kid was placed on a cart by his parent ... who was busy looking over some grocery stuff ... when all of a sudden the kid fell off the cart ... dinala sa local clinic yun bata but he needed more specialised care ... so they brought him to the mainland sa kalibo ... konti lang naman specialist doctors sa kalibo so my brother was called  as one of the attending doctors  ... comatose yun bata ... sabi nun surgeon he advised against opening up the kid ... 3 days later namatay na yun bata ...

my cat died today .. (20 DEC 2016)

my cat died today

he was crossing the road

going towards our house

he was hit by some vehicle

he was less than a year old

i found him just in our neighborhood

maybe he was looking for food ...

he has been missing for two days ..

my other cats are ok naman all of them here in the house

he is the only one who goes out of the house  ..

my other cat who lives outside the house still is nearby ... living on our roof

he is the only who goes out and goes missing for days

he will be missed

non-stok tots: doctor's tales 1 - kwentong moo-moo (27 AUG 2016)

kwento ng kapatid ko just now via text ...  he is a pulmo pedia doctor in the province ...

he was is his clinic daw today tending to his many patients ... and he takes note of "kevin" .. a 12-year old previous patient who he notices sitting in the waiting area ... and he continues on with tending to his other patients ...  

nung paubos na pasyente nya .. he asks his secretary .. "nasaan na si kevin? hindi ko pa sya natitingnan?" his secretary who also noticed kevin earlier ... began looking for kevin ... and she sends a text to kevin's lola who always accompanies kevin to the clinic to ask for kevin's whereabouts ... si lola naman ... nasa manila pala .... and she tells the secretary that kevin is in heaven na daw ... sabi ng secretary .. "anong nasa heaven?" ... sabi ni lola .. si kevin .. patay na two weeks ago pa .. he died sa heart center of a heart ailment!

umiiyak na sinabi ni secretary kay brother yun kwento ni lola ...

hahaha .... potah .... weird no? dalawa sila ni secretary na nakakita kay kevin! so hindi guniguni lang iyon!
