stok tots: ism and ara .. a short study in contrasting trades: classic trend following and classic stupidity (26 april 2016)

two trades .. two contrasting styles .. one classic trend following .. another is a classic in stupidity ...

i initiated a trade in ism on 5 april 2016 .. 90,000 shares at 1.36 .. followed by another 100k at 1.59 on the same day as the stock climbed further ...

then another 100k at 1.64 on 11 april 216 .. another 10k and finally another 200k on 25 april 2016 (yesterday at 1.94)

then as the stock reached its peak at 2.59 ,, i started to give the stock more attention ,. and as it fell to 2.40 .. i sold all until it reached 2.35 ... the stock closed at 2.42 ...

the next day .. today (26 april 2016) .. i was itching for ara ... it having gone a lot the past two days ... from 1.57 to 3.03 yesterday ...

i was late for the opening .. only able to buy 100k at 3.18 .. only to find out that it was already peaking at 3.24 ... it closed at 2.45 for the day .. (some sort of bearish engulfing?)

potah what have i been thinking with ara?

i could only think of two things ..

- i was afraid i would be left out ...
- i bought at the top ... when i should be buying before the macd gives a BUY signal .. utterly not me .

shhhheeeesshhh ... fresh from success with ism ... i completely became careless and left all rationality behind ..

anyways ... thats that ..  stupidity still rears its ugly head from time to time ...

i havent logged the past 2 days ... was not quite up to posting it here .. among my worst trades so far (altho i still made profits on those trades) .. anyways ...

my trades the past 3 days (27-29 feb) were as follows:

bot bak ara
bot more clouds
re-established my agi position (initial position)
bot initial gma7 position
bot initial sm position

sold my entire irc lot (thru 3 brokers over 2 days)
