Synopsis:
A new technologically-superior Soviet nuclear sub, the Red October, is heading for the U.S. coast under the command of Captain Marko Ramius. The American government thinks Captain Ramius is planning to attack. A lone CIA analyst Jack Ryan has a different idea: he thinks the Captain is planning to defect, but he has only a few hours to find him and prove it-because the entire Russian naval and air commands are trying to find him, too. The hunt is on!
as i sat glued to my chair following the us and soviet navies in their search for red october .. i felt like i was in front of my monitor looking at company financial statements and price charts of stocks .. hunting for my own "red october" .. the elusive stock that i could score for some "coffee money" or multi-bagger profits ...
surprised that id find that parallel in a movie thriller on submarine warfare .. but on second thought ... maybe searching for enemy subs under the vast ocean expanse is not that far removed from my daily "hunt for profit" routine in the phisix ... just like what i felt when i read the books written by charles henderson on vietnam war marine sniper carlos hathcock ...
... this is supposed to be just a short note on the movie .. so id end it here ..
