i think i found the ultimate suicide movie ... its ... the last ronin ... a japanese period movie set in the days of the samurai ... i dont mean that it has the best seppuku/harakiri scene ... i mean ... that when one is considering to end one's life ... one should watch the movie several times ... and maybe even just prior to committing the deed itself .... i find the movie a good mind conditioning vehicle ... preparing oneself to face death with no cowardice whatsoever ... the movie itself is cool ... a fictional rendering of the aftermath of a real event in japanese history ... the revenge of the 47 ronin ...
the movie involves several themes ... bushido ... loyalty ... unrequited love ... obligation to one's lord ... friendship ... i watched it several times already and im always teary-eyed after each time i finish it ... and thats what makes me say that its the ultimate suicide movie (yeps ...it includes a harakiri/seppuku scene sa ending ... ay sori ...hehehe) ... because if one is contemplating to end one's life ... it would be just a walk in the park after one watches the last ronin ... one's mind is naturally set in just doing it ... one's hesitation is dissolved and death is faced like its the most natural thing to do ... quite sick really if one thinks about it now ... but im just here to share what i felt everytime i watched it ... it will be shown 4 times pa this month sa screen red asia cable channel ...
